It's been over 8 years since I was in London.  I've tried unsuccessfully to replicate the perfect cup of British tea I savored every day, but no luck.  It's taken 8 years, but I'm very close now.  did I take a snapshot of my lovely tea, shortbread cookies and fruit?  No way!  In my rainy day, post-tea stupor, I was admiring the pattern mix and thought should take a picture.  So, there you go.

Today I learned restraint. That's how this post started in my head, before I failed. It began at one of my favorite bargain stores, Rugged Warehouse. It's exciting to shop there, because I never know what to expect. One trip, I'll find racks full of Anthropologie and J.Crew. If you're a Savannah local and haven't been to the Market at Trustee's Garden, you're missing out. It's held twice a week, and supports local farmers and artists. I've discovered the best way to get back to business as usual from the fuzzy, warm, over-indulgent holidays. It's a three-hour roller derby practice in a heated gym (FYI- it was over 70 degrees here). Gone are the toxins- sugar cookies, champagne, wine, more cookies, all reduced to a sweaty mess. We just got back from Tucson, for the Gem and Mineral Show. As promised, it was wonderful. So the holidays have just left us, and we're still knee deep in winter. Well, it was sunny and in the seventies in Savannah, but technically, the middle of winter.
