Whew!

We did it!  The move is complete.  We're now residents of Greenville, South Carolina.  The boxes are unpacked, studio is set up and we're all ready for the holidays around here.  I look forward to sharing discoveries of our new home, city and studio with you.  Hello to everyone from the little house on the hill!

Distractions

Contrary to what she may think, Madeline does not contribute much to our productivity.  Lucky for her, she's so dang cute.  She's suffered many injustices as we've worked to get this latest shop update and sale up and running.  Dinner at 5:35 instead of 5:30, laps full of computers instead of her and an unacceptable amount of cuddling .  It's a travesty, I tell you.  Somebody please call the ASPCA.

Weekend Update

Holy madness, Batman!  It's a whirlwind here, as we furiously work to get over 20 new items up on the site.  Woo hoo!  I heart chaos.   I really do.  That may explain why in addition to the everyday madness, I decided to take another jewelry class- "Advanced Metalsmithing and Enameling".  It's taught by one of my fave metalsmiths, Kathryn Riechert.  Enamel is a medium I've already fallen fast and hard for.  I'm a little concerned for my wallet.  I'll share some pics of my projects, as I finish them.  If you're looking for something to keep you occupied while we work on the shop update (Ha! You're lives are full of fun chaos, I know it!), here's a few things to keep you busy:

Friday night, "Whip It"will make it's debut in theaters across the country.  Drew Barrymore's directorial debut is about my beloved roller derby.  If you're in the Savannah area, come by and see the Savannah Derby Devils at the Regal Cinema on Shawnee St. as we promote the movie and our home bout  next weekend against Charleston.  Maybe I'll wear one of these necklaces.

Sunday is one of my other favorite events, Picnic in the Park.  Last year our friends got married there, and this year, there's a new baby.  They're going to have a tough time topping things next year!  All you Savannahians come out and enjoy the beautiful weather and the symphony!
